When You Read to Us We Love It When You...

  • Do funny voices - like when Flo's dad does his Mrs Twit voice!
  • Explains words that we don't understand - like extraordinary
  • Give us great pictures in our heads as you read
  • Have time for just you and me
  • Give me cuddles as we read together
  • Use expressions to show me that characters are being sarcastic
  • Explain the moral of the story to me
  • Let grandma or grandad read to me
  • Let me close my eyes and drift off to sleep - I get to go to sleep with your voice in my head
  • Get me to predict what might happen just before an exciting part

    My dad reads to me most of the time and we read a hole lot of authors:-)
