Isabella P
Lonesome
I wait
For his arrival
Watching the hands move
As light darkens
And stars awake from their slumber.
He hovers above me
Lying within the shadowed sky
As his eyes stare at me
Speaking a million words of sorrow
I reach out
Attempting to embrace his saddened heart
Only to brush upon the rippled surface.
Fergus
A noise booms from below
The tail has risen
It's slicing through the peacefulness
The light glistens on the sea's surface
Of this solitary shape.
Looking up, feeling lonely
The call of the whale tune
Listening for an answer
As no answer comes
He sinks
In shame.
Jessica F
It flicks its tail and plunges through the silvery surface
The moonskin shivers, sending goosebumps along the salty plains
Its lonely song winds through the moon's interior
Calling for a friend.
Dilkee
They plough through the moon's breaths
Just under the surface
Ascending the moon's skin
Rising with light, they wail
Flicking its tail.
Its tune eddying across the calmness
Sending a cascade of water
Lonely it cries for a mate
Fingers emerge from the water, brushing through the deserted tide
Friendless, together they ride into a new world.
Sam
The glistening sea's surface reflects the whale's wavy back
As he dives into the salty surface of the sea
Soaking the side of the ferry
As the people laugh in amazement
The whale cries, longing for a friend
He hears the moan of a lonely humpback whale
Beckoning him deeper into the salty depths of the sea
Diving deeper down he comes across the lonely whale
They swim back up to the surface
Playing around at the top of the water.

Annabel
They plough through the moon's breath
Under the moonlight
Plunging to the depths
Underneath the moon's plains.
Singing undending songs
Each note hundreds of years long
Its echo cocoons the land.
Flickering its tail
Its eyes snap shut
To dive deep into darkness.
Levi
A cry of agony from below
A colossal figure cuts through the ocean
Desperately trying to find a mate
High up in space a circle figure hears the cry
The figure plummets towards the ocean
At the thing which is now thrashing its tail
Their shadows meet
It lets out a cry of relief
And goes off with his new mate.

Emma
It dives through the moon's reflection
A solitary figure
Emerges out of nothingness
The whistling of the ocean
Pirouettes across the surface
Friendless for life
Waiting for a mate
Finding its way to the light.
Fritha
Lonesome I hover
Waiting
For a sign
Of friendship.
As light darkens
And darkness lightens
I search
For hope.
The brightness emerges
From the shadowed sky
Casting a pathway of light.
I leap
Reaching out
But only to caress
The seabed below.
Toby
They plunge through the moon's breath
As the tide slowly comes in.
The tail breaks the surface
Reaching the moon
In disappointment it slaps back
All of a sudden
It leaps out of the water
Grasping for the moon
It falls back in sorrow
Wishing for a friend.
Grace
With a flick of a tail
He plunges deep into the moon's plains
Searching for a friend
He lifts his immense body
Erupting from the darkness
A cascade of water appears from under him.
Friendless, he glides along the surface
Searching for a mate
Reaching out, his fingers brush the reflection
Only to see it ripple and dissolve into nothing
His bloodcurdling scream echoes across the land
As he sinks into the surging waters below
His sorrow mixed with envy
He knew, it was too late.
Eden
With a smack of a tail, ripples emerge
Separating the moon's skin like a lasting volcano
They plough through gravity,
Following a solitary tune.
Plunging deep down, finding the inner light
That shines on the glistening ocean
As the grey hand rises up
It slowly descends to the lonely depths.
Braeden
Bubbles fizz as a grey hand submerges
Ripples spreading across the expanse of blue
Water squirts out of its blow hole
Its voice echoing through the dark depths.
The moon's reflection shines brighter on the surface
The grey hand emerges reaching out towards the light
The moon shines brighter
Their friendship lasts forever.

Ben
The silhouettes dance under the moonlight
Spearing the water with its tail
Bubbles erupt from the surface
A colossal rock lurches from the still water
His eyes shut ecstatic
He cascades into the water
A cloud drifts past
Darkness over the water
A low, sad hum
Rises in the air.

Yusi
They plunge just beneath the surface
Their silhouettes get closer and closer
Until ripples form
They plough their way through their endless journey
A fin emerges out of the plain, peaceful surface
Its blowhole sprays water at my face
It slowly moves towards moonlight
And changes colour as it goes towards the light
Then his unmovable, immense tail goes high above the water
And dives down, below the surface.
Lucia
It plunges through the moon's breath
Blasting a hole through the clear surface
A ripple spreading across the moon's plains
Humming a solitary tune.
Like a magnet it stalks the moon's metals
Its tail rises to the light
Reaching
It grabs nothing but a dissolving light.
Left solitary
Alone
It ripples
To dark
Dark
Night.
Jessica H
A shadowy figure appears
Gliding across the lonesome plains
Drifting around the shimmering reflection.
An everlasting tune
Spiraling through the murky water.
It rises to the surface
A waterfall spurts out
And slowly washes into the sea.
A magnetic wave draws it closer
Reaching out a sodden finger
Stroking it
Only to find it ripples away
Fading into immense darkness.
Cara
They emerge out of the moon's reflection
It lifts up then drops down
Whistling along the plain
One is left, solitary,
Alone it searches for a friend.
Stella
A fin pierces the surface
Gliding across the plains
Its tail crevising the moon's skin.
Only just skimming the floor
Its body heaved along
All of a sudden
Green, slimy fingers wrapped around its tail
It gave a shrill call out through space
And with its immense power
It broke free.
Finn
The colossal body ascends
Through the murky ripples
Only to be confronted by a yellow glint
As it cautiously approaches it grows wider
Its grey hand flops into the water
Sending a cascade of water.
The solitary body screams for a friend
Each undying note echoes far
To a colony
They return the symbolic voice
It comforts the friended whale.
Now it belongs.
I like how Sam added a ferry and the whales making a friendship
