Sailing Safety

Tomorrow we need to remember...

  • That it is going to be around 30degrees or more.
  • There is no shade at the lake!
  • To drink and drink and drink!
  • To sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen.
  • That wetsuits will now be too hot to wear.
  • We need rash vests - preferably long sleeved. You MUST have a shirt of some sort covering your top half.
  • Board shorts would be ideal. Or just shorts that you are happy to go in the water with.
  • If you have sunglasses, wear them. If you have a rubber band thing to keep them on, please bring that too.
  • Togs underneath.
  • That some people will be quite scared about doing this new activity - we need to support and encourage them rather than laugh at their fear.
  • You can wear aquatic shoes if you have them.
  • Plastic bags. for wet clothes.
  • You need a HUGE lunch!
  • We need to be at school at 8.30.
  • To have fun!!!!!
